The British Dental Association's Good Practice Scheme
In 2007 Avenue Parade Dental Practice was awarded membership of the British Dental Association's Good Practice Scheme. This means that all members of our dental team are committed to nationally agreed standards of good practice set by our professional association. We deliver the standard of care set out in the scheme through our commitment to the following :
- We aim to provide dental care of a consistently good quality for all patients
- We only provide care that meets our patients' needs and wishes
- We aim to make our patients' treatment as comfortable and convenient as possible
- We look after our patients' general health and safety while they're receiving dental care
- We follow the British Dental Association’s guidelines on infection control
- We check for mouth cancer and tell patients what we find
- We take part in continuing professional development to keep our skills and knowledge up-to-date
- We train all staff in practice-wide work systems and review our training plans every year
- We welcome feedback and deal promptly with any complaints
- Every member of the practice is aware of the need to work safely under General Dental Council guidelines
Please ask any member of our dental team if you require further information regarding the BDA Good Practice Scheme, or visit the British Dental Association's web site at www.bda.org
